Linda Hafez — psychotherapist & family practitioner

Linda is a BACP-accredited psychotherapist and family practitioner with more than 15 years' experience, and an NVR Parenting Programme facilitator. Through her practice LENSS she runs bespoke parenting workshops built on the Non-Violent Resistance approach first developed by Dr Haim Omer, and supervises practitioners across schools and charities. NVR Companion grew out of her work bringing these tools to families.

Twelve years ago I was invited to CAMHS to run a parenting programme called NVR. I thought it was wonderful — but the parents at the school I was working at couldn't access it, because they didn't meet the criteria. So I secured funding to become the first school in England to bring the programme into schools, which landed us in the local paper.

Twelve years on, I've developed an app so parents can carry these tools in their pocket. It's no longer confined to a classroom — it's now on every parent's phone.
